Bedskirt

What is a Bedskirt?

A Bedskirt is made in several different drops that may include 14", 16", 18" or even 21". They are either the adjustable 3-panel skirts or most common is the skirt with the attached deck. Various styles that include tailored, pleated, inverted pleats and ruffles.

I used to think that one would have to have their bedskirt sewn to fit if they got one that is part of a bedding collection and it is too long.

I had just got the Jennifer Taylor Valenciaga King Bedding Ensemble and we were putting the bedskirt on when I realized that the skirt was an 18" skirt and was to long. I had an "Aha Moment" and realized that I could adjust the bedskirt with the screw pins from the other skirt.

Bedskirt to Long? What to Do:

If a bedskirt's drop is too long for your bed adjust it by folding the skirt at the foot of the bed and use bedskirt pins to keep it in place. Be careful that the tailored corners are still in place. Then do the same with each of the sides and your bedskirt will stay in place at the right length and won't move when the mattress is placed back on the bed.
